Dr Fun Killer - What it's all about

THIS POST IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

I mention Dr F-K fairly regularly, so I figured I'd post everything that I'm doing. I have to point out, the reason I started doing this 'diet' was to lose body fat and tone up, not to lose weight. Losing weight has been a bonus.

Initially, I found Dr F-K through the gym I joined. The gym itself is completely different to any other I've been to. It's not the type where anyone can rock up any time and do whatever they like. They choose their members, each member follows a strict weight/cardio routine (set routine, and you do the same thing every time you go), and you only go twice a week for 45 minutes. Dr F-K and another naturopath he works with, work in conjunction with the gym owner to get the best results for gym members.

I'm going to focus on the food aspect of what I'm doing, because most of the other things I'm taking are made by Dr F-K.

In addition to the food and the potions I'm taking, the only other thing I had to buy (because I never cooked before), was a small set of kitchen scales.

For the first week only, I took a foul chalk-like substance called Colozone (1 teaspoon in water), followed by 1.5 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, as well as 10 drops of Renotone under the tongue, for kidney function.

Some Fundamentals
  • Measuring all weights of food, prior to cooking
  • At least 3 meals per day, and making sure breakfast is consumed within 50 minutes of waking.
  • No salt, because it causes the body to retain fluid.
  • No alcohol at all in the first week. Alcohol is the first fuel to burn, so while it's in your system, your body will not burn fat.
  • Up to 2 cups of caffeine per day, with no sugar.
  • No sugar. This includes fruit juice, dried fruit, cordial, soft drinks, candies and sugar in hot drinks.
  • Milk and milk based products are to be avoided. Milk contains lactose, which is a milk sugar containing carbohydrates. A splash of milk in a hot drink is acceptable.
  • 8-10 glasses of water each day.
  • Exercise. (All I've done is gym twice a week, for a total of 90 minutes, plus walking maybe once or twice per week in the afternoons with C.)

I've just started the same program. It's NOT what I expected it to be & is a load of rubbish really.

I merely wanted to be taught how to eat the right foods in the right portions at the right time of day. I never expected to be continually diving into my purse to fork out money for potions which have absolutely NO useful effect, except to fatten my naturopath's wallet.

VERY disappointed with the program.

Hi Anon,
I had really good results with this, but I agree, the cost was high and I stopped going for that reason. (As you can see, this post is from 2004!)

I have no idea where you are, but if you're in Melbourne, AU, I can recommend a place and a system that does work, because it's doctor designed. I get no kickbacks for recommending it, but I am a personal trainer now and use this system to help educate my clients about nutrition.

If you leave some contact details, I can pass the info on to you.

Interesting I went to a Natropath today, not for weight loss and was given the exact information, although I did say I wanted to lose 5kg. But I did get told I could eat unlimited amounts of the protein foods
