Just the way it is
Since most of my close friendships are with people who don't live on this continent, let alone in this city, it comes as no surprise to me that I've met D, got on with him so well, and he's going away in, um, 26 days.
Sigh...
Sigh...

So I've obviously missed chunks of this (again) but if he's coming back in 5 months - that's doable. (I know it still doesn't make you jump up and down for joy.)
But you've done lots longer for people who (it sounds) deserved it less. :)
HUGS to you. I'm just glad you've met someone who you get on so well with.

Just catching up to all your posts. I've been WORKING way too much. Meh.
Well, you're awfully good at the long distance thing. I mean look at us! We've been together for what, 6 years an still haven't broken up! ha ha.

Oh, sad :(
I'm with RG--you're pretty practiced and it's five months..not a lifetime. (though I do know five months can feel like a lifetime.....)

I think I'll celebrate the crossing of paths with someone you get along with so well. That's a very good thing.
Going away in 26 days, but returning 5 months later!
Ahh, countdowns. Good times...
Just see where it goes and enjoy!
HUGS
Hi all,
Yes 5 months would be easy, but it's looking now to be at least 8. Could be more. I'll hope for the best, prepare for the worst and just see what happens.
I still say go with him. Pretend it's just a short vacation then "lose" your ticket home :D
Where is he going anyway?
