Stating the obvious

Most stores, I think, like to assume their patrons are at least a little intelligent. However, one place I walked past in the city yesterday must try to cater to the lowest common denominator. They had a big sign across their store window which read '1st floor upstairs', with a big red arrow pointing up. That solves that mystery!
